The V Holds Knights Event in Iraq
Last 17 to 19 March, The V and QuestNet held Network and Leadership Training sessions at the Azadi Arbil Hotel in Hawler, Iraq, wherein IRs and distinguished public figures were present to witness and participate in the trainings. The training also received media coverage via the presence of members of the press.
The trainings were facilitated by V Leaders Qussay Suliman and Dawood Suliman. Other V Leaders such as Dr. Bashar and Dr. Sarhan also gave support by assisting and actively participating in the training sessions.
Participants were exposed to the essence of V events and trainings when V Leaders and members of the InService Brotherhood shared their respective stories about their individual experiences at past V events and what each of them has learned at those said events. They gave emphasis on the teachings of V Managing Partner Dato’ Vijay Eswaran, specifically RYTHM (Raise Yourself to Help Mankind), and how these teachings have made an impact in their lives and how it has transformed them mentally and spiritually. They also accentuated on the importance of being part of the InService brotherhood and how they use the teachings of Dato’ Vijay and incorporate them in their everyday lives and how they can spread these teachings to others for them to emulate and live by.
Each session began at 8AM and was scheduled to end each time at 12 midnight. But because of the level of enthusiasm of the participants and facilitators, all sessions ended at 5AM and would immediately resume at 8AM. Despite lack sleep, the facilitators and participants pressed on with the sessions with high spirits. They even invited a staff of the hotel restaurant to join them as he was curious about the ongoing flurry of activities.
When the trainings were over, the event was featured as the main story of the TV afternoon news, which featured the participants in an exuberant mood and even performed the Jobee, the Iraqi traditional dance, which was deemed unusual, yet very inspiring, given the current political and economic situation of the country. Given the newfound hope that they have received in this training, it is no wonder why the participants were all in a jovial mood. Many are looking forward to the next training, as well as meeting the man who was instrumental for their newfound positive outlook in life, Dato’ Vijay Eswaran.
